does tile in smaller tanks look as good?

depending on how much room you have back there you mebbe able to paint it while its running ( I use melamine paint and a roller), BUT.. in the meantime to see if you like it.. get some black paper and tape it in place.

Another option.. you can limo tint the back glass or apply black vinyl (or have someone come in and do it)
 
Sorry if I sounded pushy but I don't think anyone on this site would say painted backgrounds don't look good haha but it only matters what you like and your fish anyway the tile looks really good.

It's all good lol. I know a ton of you like that I just never had the urge to paint it or do anything with the back and thanks.

I don't have enough room to paint it right now. I will sooner or later move it again and do it then. Right now I'm using this tank to see how I'm going to set up my bigger tank that I'm going to get when I get the money.
