Does your bite?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
mine doesnt bite me. i have a pleco in there so he picks on the pleco.

my female is a sweetie and the male i have is scared of my hand. but my midas gets pissed at anything that moves scrubbers, hands, cameras i cant even get a decent side picture because he/she guessing he will just start attacking the glass

Yea, my FH bites, too. I started wearing plastic gloves awhile back. It doesn't hurt as bad now but he'll get ahold of a chunk of the glove and pull and shake his head. I love him though :-)

My Red Dragon is about 8 inches now and yes he bites. He's broke the skin on my hand before. When i'm doing a water change I just have to keep an eye on where he is all the time.

gotta show them wassup if they bite you take it out of the water and bite them back. show them whos boss. lol

mines ill at the mo and that was how i realised he was ill, he just stopped goin for my little girl when she went near his tank
he doesnt mind me, he knows he gets food and clean water from me. but my little one and anyone else sends him mad! he flips around, charges at the glass, tries to jump out. evil evil thing! when he was well, i no given half the chance that my lil one put her hand in his tank she would be hurt quite nastily.
but i love him :D

I think most everyone that has an FH has been bit or close to it. Mine used to jump out of the water for food and bite fingers if you weren't quick enough. She also used to attack the python. Get those thick gloves that go up to the shoulder. They work great! (I'm short and so the water goes up to my armpit when I clean. Next best thing to a dry arm, is bite-free arm ;-)
