Does your LFS know your routine?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes, at least five different employees welcome me with " How many do you need today" speaking of feeders in an annoyed tone of voice.:irked: It sucks when people make you feel bad for simply doing their job.

Nope. But I think he usually understands that I get feeder guppies, bloodworms, and brine shrimp. And I'm usually tempted to buy some random fish.

In my fav LFS a cpl of the employees know me. But I always get different stuff. The will point out anything that seems to fall into the types of fish I like though.

one of the lfs's back home actually had my number and would call whenever something was there that they thought i would be interested in. where i live now...they recognize me, but thats about it.

I'm not sure if he even knows my name(he never asks), but I'm in a few times a week. At this point I can even bag my own fish. Sometimes he'll ask me for advice if a customer has a question.

The best part, if I don't have cash on me I can take what I want/need and come back and pay for it at the end of the week.

He knows that I need a dozen feeders, a pack of bloodworm, and sometimes shrimp. And he's quick to show me the oddball fish and whatever catfish he gets in. I've even got him making orders from the MFK distributors from time to time.

Yep, they know. Atleast, they know what I end up getting. I always look at everything they have, and usually end up talking to the manager for a good 25 minutes. I usually leave with some new kind of food that I've never tried, a sponge filter (I have like 30, and I only use 2), and sometimes I pick up some plants, and a new book. Sometimes they reccomend some good books, and I always get a 30% discount on plants over $6.

Nope. I am constantly changing my needs. Most of the basics I get through them in huge amounts. This is just so much cheaper.

Nope not anymore. I do so much online shopping now that i only cruise th lfs' for fun or something i ned immediately.

They don't need to. I work there.
