On the note of the dogs though, if you told the police that it tried to hurt your kids, they'd be there in an instant.

yes i READ what you said...

I have a quick suggestion, since the dog comes out when your dogs are out. Is there anyone or your children besides you that can take the dogs out in the yard? Tell animal control that you are going to have someone take the dogs out and need an animal control officer in the yard walking with your dogs st the same time. Animal control can catch the dog that way. It's the only way I can see the dog being caught, besides feeding.

so did the dog come back?

Nope, it's been like 3 days now and no dog coming to visit.. So hopefully this story is over and no harm will come to this dog or anyone else.
But thanks for everyone's input, and if he comes back i have lots of NON-Fatal ways to take care of this dog.:)

it's different in each state. some states you could defend yourself with lethal force if believe your life/property was threatened (look it up, Castle Law Doctrine). but in states like California, if you shoot an intruder in your house in the middle of the night, youre most likely getting locked away for a long time :screwy:

If you're going to hate on a state, atleast use facts. California uses the same "stand your ground", "make my day" or "castle law doctrine" law as most of the states. They don't even have to make it INTO your house as i had a fam member shoot someone in their front yard.

Hopefully you guys get this whole dog situation taken care of with a good outcome for everyone involved. The fact that you haven't seen it in 3 days is a step in the right direction

I HATE THE ANIMAL CONTROL IN MY AREA !!! The dog came back again yesterday, my wife called 911, they called animal control and they called me and told me they were a half hour away and would come buy tomorrow..:irked: FRIGGIN USELESS !!!
I got the benadryl ready with some food, then i'm gonna drop the dog at the police station if it comes back today.. Tell them it's their damn problem now..

Sucks to hear... hopefully you "catch" the dog and manage to transport it safely to the police station if the time arises... either way, best of luck with it...
