LOL, for dogs, cats, and HORSES??!?!? I've never seen a horse eat poo

Your right horses won't eat poo from any other animal but foals will eat manure from mom... it consists of hay and corn {sweet feed} and molassas .. maybe it is the molassas that gets the baby tasting Moms ..left overs.. :D i just wanted to add that i would remove the kitty litter box to unknown place from dog ..or maybe u can set it up a bit on something just so dog cannot reach it.. i don't think it is good for the dog on a constant basis..maybe give the dog a little cat food instead... my pom used to love the cat food..along with its regular dog food...

poo might actually be tasty.... im not gonna try it but maybe if we tell somebody it taste like chocolate they willl

and they say dog mouths are cleaner than human's.

I cring every time i see someone letting their dog lick them in the face. Putrid and wrong.

Do you miss your dog? Wish he were here right now to lick you?
just smear feces on your face and it will be like he's right there with you giving you kisses

that is a condition called coprophagy. It is a problem, ( beyond being tottally unesthaetic and disgusting ), and is an "insuficiency " that the dog is feeling...

if not corrected at an early stage it gets chronic and I've seen dogs get sick by it... I had a Bordeaux Dogue ***** that was coprophagic and it got to a point where she ate the turd and vomited **** immediately thereafter. now go figure that in a household.

Jerry, do a google on "coprophagy "

my dog was doing the same thing. i know that they can get sick from eating cat crap-by ingesting parasites, bacteria and other things that are normal flora in a cats digestive tract (but foreign to a dogs).

what i did was put up one of those kids gates you can buy at kmart or walmart-and put the litter boxes in a room. the cats just jump over it to use the cat boxes and i even put their food bowls in there too (my dog wanted to eat their food too). so my dog cant get in, but they can-and everyone is happy! lol

no more turd eating.

This mainly has to do with the dogs age. Most young dogs do this. That being said, domesticated dogs have a mental age of 3yrs, even if they are adults. This could be a hold over from the puppy years, they eat the parents feces to get some enzymes that the parents have. Also wild dogs will eat their own to avoid predation of their young. More than likely more domesticated dogs have a tendency to eat poop more than their feral or wild cousins
