DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE PEOPLE! The only thing these people are suggesting is the crap they hear from some untrue bull**** stories. Do not get a Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Mastiff, Boxer, German Shepard, etc..

Note that you are making a commitment for at least 10-15 years! Do not just get a dog to chase some damn cats and then forget about it, it is a huge responsibility. These people have listed dogs that are proven working dogs and have their needs. All of those dogs needs way more then an hour of exercise a day to be happy, note the time you have to spend with them, the food and treats, the vet bills, and amongst other expenses.

Please do not listen to these people. If you still want a dog, what kind of experience with dogs do you have? Just about any dog will manage to get rid of your cat problem in the yard, and note most small game hunting dogs are tiny (ex: Jack Russell Terrier).

Note this is my hobby, I spend a great deal of time on thiss. I am currently working as a vet assistant and on my yearly vications am into working dog events (French Ring and Schutzhund). I absolutely hate people who go around doing irresponsible bull**** like this.

That is besides the point that your dog can get hurt amongst other things lose an eye or two. Look into some cat poison or repellents...

Dont worry about what they said. They are kidding(atleast I think they are) like I said I have been considering getting a dog for a long time maybe a year or two. So I have been doing my research and I wouldnt get a dog just to chase cats. If I do get one its going to live inside with I also plan to fufill all my responsiblities with it(walking, excercise, grooming, training atc) to make it as happy as possible. I am aware that getting a dog is a long term commitment. As far as vet bills and expsenses go I will handle them.

BTW cat repellents are useless they must be re applied every couple of days and they will wash away when it rains.

As far as poisons go I wasnt aware thay you could poison cats. I wonder what the liablites are? Besides it sounds kind of cruel.

The poison is probably illegal as are most of what these people are suggesting. From what I gather you don't want to kill or injure these cats right? I still like my idea best but I don't know if it will work very well. I know people use it on fish farms to specifically scare aways fish eating predators.

You could live trap them and take them where she cannot find them. Maybe the next shelter over or something. Seems pretty simple to me. If the shelter asks where you got them tell them they were strays.

lab is the best all around dog . for everything. hunting. swiming . kids. family, cats, protection, andNUMBER ONE THING LABS GOT GOIN FOR IT LOYALTY. MORE LABS HAVE SAVED OWNERS LIFES THEN ANY OTHER DOG

fence, if they still come in you can legally shoot them.
