Dogfish is a local/common name for bowfin (Amia calva). They are great aquarium fish if you have a big tank.

you pay the the pound they have live tilapia, striped bass, mussels clams, but i cant keep the clams alive so i give up on them. They have shiners also. I cant id the species. All shiners start off with a black stripe then change as they age? Live blue crabs. You can just grab them and toss them in a bag alive. I felt sorry there was 100s of craps. Live carp. Live trout lobster. If i had a salt water tankn those blue crabs would look stunning.
DOG FISH looked just like a snake head i thought thats what it was but my friend said they dont sell snakeheads in stores here so. People are right its a bowfin.
but they have so many and they are ripping up huge catfish and carp with them. I have no clue the catfish i think must be channel. Huge.
I live on the coast and collect fish semi regularly, blue crabs will live quite well in freshwater. In fact the biggest blue crabs I've ever seen came from a freshwater lake. 13" from one horn to another...
