OMG
warbles (bots) are bad but usually there's just one they will get in outdoor rabbits and i've seen em on a kitten before
but get it out, some antibiotics, keep it clean and they're fine
Maggots yuck gross horrible
usually on sick animals outside, the ones in the us don't seem to act like "medical maggots" they get in wounds or on wet hair (animals hit by cars or big fat hairy dogs left outside)
they smell, and they crawl under the skin, and THEY MAKE NOISE
give off toxins
gotta pick em out one by one
usually that's the day someone wants to order chinese food for lunch....
ok i've got too much time on my hands and don't feel like doing my work soo i guess i'll try to figure out my digital camera...

One of my former instructors told me the story of how she got to pull a bot fly out of a students arm, she was very excited about the experience. (the eco-tourism students spend a quater in south america, and that is were it happened)

yuck ack omg
back when i did nursing one of the er nurses came up to borrow something to get maggots froma homeless person's leg
then of course there are body lice.... oh and little kids always manage to find some kinda uck, scabies, ringworm
on the other hand tropical countries, where we get all our cool stuff
have us beat in terms of stuff that lives on or bites humans and no rite-aid right down the street
i always think ohh it would be soo cool to travel to the wilderness.. then i'm like nahhh
:nilly: bugs
i think i'll stick to discovery channel
makes me wonder though,
how did we ever survive to "evolve" to where we are and how do native peoples manage to survive?
take my A/c, marlboros and ibuprofin and i'm done

Most parasites do not kill their hosts, if they did they would die along with them. Chances are you have parasites too. Ever walked outside without shoes (hookworms), eaten shushi, eaten unwashed fruits and vegies, or undercooked meat (especially pork) ?

I remember seeing a discovery show about bugs on and with people, and all people have microscopic mites in their eyebrows. Its a symbiotic relationship, they eat dead skin cells and keep your eyebrows clean. Its been a few years since I saw the show.
