Or that masses have learned about, but don't really care enough to help the cessation of. Female circumsion is the best example that comes to mind.

Well put taratron...we aren't on the top. Explain it to tigers, crocodiles, sharks...hell, explain it to tapeworms, mosquitos and the thousands of other parasites and diseases that call us dinner.

Whats the brichardi death squad?

As for the puppys...what about the sharks? Cute and fluffy will win the hearts of man every time.

Ah, the Brichardi Death Squad is a term someone I know coined to describe what brought his Lake Tang tank to ruin: a breeder pair of brichardi. Every other fish had to be removed before he could secure the family, and get them out!

After following this thread carefully and weighing the facts, it appears to me that the dog's "lips" would not be able to hold the dog on that "hook".

Kind of reminds me of theology class when it was discovered that Jesus was not nailed through his hands, but instead nailed through his wrists. The hands could not have supported his weight.

Well...this is very similar and this is why I have come to this conclusion.

I thought that too, but then now I think they stuck it through the roof of his mouth and not just his lips. That area is hard and could probably hold the hook. That is why is seems so cruel, that must really hurt, if it does go through the mouth. Or does it specifically say "lips"?

Yes like I said I found no other proof that they are fishing with the dogs, the video looks real but we don't know the circumstances. Maybe the dog got into some fishermans tackle and ended up like that. I saw a video once of a dog that was walking around for days with a plastic "barrel" stuck over it's head.

Dosen't seem like a good way to fish for sharks anyway. Too much doggy behind the hook, if your shark doesn't take the whole dog then you won't hook it untill the 2nd or 3rd bite.

hehehe, i love your logic

I think that a live dog being dragged by hooks that way would live for minutes at best so there are better and less dangerous shark baits. I would not doubt that the occassional sick sob tries it.
