Dojo and kuhli loaches together?

I was cleaning out my 55 gal tank and when I took out all the decor and plants I netted my fish. I noticed that one of my 4 kuhli loaches were missing and I thought that it might be in the decor so I took all of my decor to the kitchen counter because the lights are better there. I start checking and all of a sudden it jumps out of the fake tree and flops into the sink drain. I turn off the water in my house and open the pipe under the sink and he was still living and now he is still alive.
