Domino Effect. Worst I've Ever Seen

"You will probably find him next year on your next spring cleaning."

Maybe not. My floors are not congested. I have quite a few sump filters and sumps with pre-sumps. Just one of my pre-sumps (limestone wash, refill valve, coarse sponges) is 300gals and hooked to the 600gal (385gal bead filter, commercial skimmer, degassing tower, etc) filter system. I have other sumps that are, physically, over 100gals each to handle my 400+gal setups. I figure that chances are good he made it into one of these sumps. I just can't get to the bottom silt layers without tearing down the filters. If he's not in a filter, he was either eaten by the gar (Da@#...didn't do a stomach contents check) or eaten by something in another tank.

No words my Bro, I could not even imagine the seen. Putting it togeter like you did really makes you think when you keep animals you just never know what S%$t they can get into.

:22_yikes: that realy sucks. i would die. i have never seen a tank crack open exept when helping to build an acrylic tank and we put water in it to test it and one of the seams poped.

my condolences.

Sorry for your loss. If you don't mind, did you ever find your eel?
