  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The only good thing about this is that everyone will remember this and I highly doubt farms will let it happen again. I would think at least.

I feel so bad for Breen. You can tell how upset he is in the video.

Problem is alot of these farms are moms and pops they dont have a corporate dollars to go out and by heating systems and such... Now Im sure he can go get crop heaters and such and hope it does some good ...

Expect the price of all the fish from Fl. farms to go up.

Sucks.

the price of cichlids is going to go up..

Also I can tell you I had a 110 stock tank with Tropicals in it. Tetras silver dollars swordtail redtail black shark etc... I had a 300 watt heater with the tank half drained and covered... They did fine for the first 5 days ..but the second day of low in the 30's and high in the 50's they were floating on Sunday morning... I had read somewhere on here last year about getting them and putting them in warm water. I did a mix of that and warm water and tested 3 fish. They started moving and swimming. I ran to Walmart and got a 20 gallon plastic clear tote and a small heater and filter. I only lost ONE fish in that tank from about 20 that were floating and looking dead. I want to thank whoever that was that posted that last year about reviving their oscar or something in a sump in the tank inside.

I did lose guppies in the other stock tank but my 3 goldies and my wildcaught mollies are doing good.

I wonder if the florida fish farm owners are gonna try that instead of do insurance claims which is more PITA if they try that once the cold spell hits....

You lucked out, I had two heaters in my covered partially drained 55 and I still lost my 2 peacocks and 1 mayan cichlid, two of my other mayans survived
