Donating Monster Fish to Belle Isle Aquarium

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ummm...... he could move to another house that still wouldn't have a large enough aquarium.
That is a choice, and shows where priorities lie. .....

And yes, I'm being judgemental. I am downsizing houses because I can no longer afford where I am. I am also making sure it has a fenced yard and can accommodate all of my aquariums. Fish are a lifelong commitment. Just like kids. When my kids wanted to go to college, I didn't put them up for adoption. I don't buy fish I can't handle all grown up.

Post it on here in the classifieds and craigslist.
This is MFK most people here are keeping fish they shouldn't. The tiniest of fish has an entire river or lake to swim in.

What size tank is he in now. Are you not setting up the tank in your apartment. Have you listed him on MFK for free.

I'm in Troy, in Oakland county (so still Metro-Detroit). He/she is around 15 inches but very thick. I have him in a 210 gallon tank currently (by himself). There is no room for the tank in the apartment I'm moving into. Frankly I want to make sure he goes to the best home possible so that's why I considered contacting the aquarium but if that doesn't work then I will consider giving him away on Craigslist or here on MFK, given that the potential adopter can care for him (which most probably can't). I understand it was a mistake to buy a fish such as this and will not do it in the future but I can't change what I've already done, so I'm doing my best to fix the problem.

So your not going to set up the 210 in your apartment?
