I don't think your nuts -- for sure more and more I'm missing 4 seasons; and if I ever did move back to the US somewhere in New England would be near the top of my destination list.
Btw, what did you cook for lunch next to your lean-to?
That also looks like a fun adventure Hendre -- Africa has been on my travel wish list for a long time, would love to go climbing at Paarl Rock or Tabletop Mt.
It's seriously nice. Haven't hiked Table mountain or Paarl yet, but have been up there with the cable car. Very amazing view up there! Cape town is worth a trip

On this day, it was just simple Ramen noodles. But, it reay hits the spot on a frigid day.
Here's another thing I love about New England: last week, we were barely out of the 20's for a high, right now it is 57F!
