DON'T be my Valentine

I try to spread the same views to my friends and family that get way to caught up in this crap, but some still require it to feel good about themselves i guess.

i am sure some of your focus rubs off on the others... even if they don't admit it.. valentines day can never make up for the other 364 days that something isn't right between two people.. if those days are treated with love and repect between a couple ... then surely no one has to make any issue out of valentines day..

It's a mans equivalent to Valentine's Day. On Feb 14 women get the gifts they like to receive, so on March 14th, men get the gifts they like to receive.

google march 14th holiday and you should see many references to it, its only been around about 5-6 years now, so still growing, not nationally recognized yet.

i'll take any holiday with pleasure, its just another reason for me to receive gifts too.

ahh, I didn't get my wife anything for valentines day and I think she would be offended if I did. furthermore, I wouldn't have married this woman if she was all "sheeped" out over insignificant things like valentines day.

you must break out of the mold if you desire to be free!

I'll give out a Hellya to ya cardona! The only holiday I truly enjoy is Labor day and Memorial day.. "Kick it and keep it real" days

While we still subscribe to the holiday, anyday of the year can be a holiday around my house. We buy things as a surprise for each other throughout the year. If you only do it on that day then the relationship still needs some work.

I agree, but i still bought my honey a giant teddy bear for the occasion. Id take her out more if i worked more than part time and didnt have to save money.
