I was tempted onto fancy goldfish but knifefish just got me intrigued.

with all that filtration i think you can afford to feed more, get some better growth and colour?

Maybe, but i've overfed goldfish to death. I am gun shy now. I want them to live a long time.

Great question. Probably a koi actually. A full black body with bronze mirror scales with an red head. That would be something.
