If it were me I would get it on a shelf.
Make the shelf a little larger so you can disguise it w/ plants. Looks ugly IMO.
On top of that it kinda kills the clean look of the tank where it is now.
Have you thought of adding or using a bead filter?
 
Yeah, we'll see about that.. eveb if i decide to put it on a shhelf it will be simple consoles ( not sure that is the correct term).. i'm a carpenter by trade so it would be a small thing to build a cabinet but thats not the main reason i won't.. I like to see what my filter is up to at all times..

I could add a bead filter but i'm pretty sure this filter will handle the bioload.. if it doesn't i'll upgrade my system :)

Is your big Fire eel going in it? It won't escape?
 
For now its only the big box for filtration.. if it cant handle (the truth) i'll upgrade :)

Shes never tried to escape before..i have a net btw.. doesnt steal as much light as glass..
 
Haha.. so i guess pothos is the english word for the plant.. haha.. i read it as longest photos and really couldnt figure out what you meant..
