ya, i was ready to seperate and sell the vatf if i had to. thats how long i have wanted a true hystrix. they have been great together and i am glad i never sold my vatf.

as it has been said if you take risks then you must not have any knowladge about fish keeping right? threshholds are there to keep heathy fish right? i believe that was some of the hate against me for my gatf school that failed. but hey i still have my awesome set ups with extra heavy filtration. though i always over stocked and seemingly undertanked with my monsters. there colors, heath and activity seem to back that theroy up so i have to change something before they dwindle and die from these unheathy conditions.

no horn tooting here. just laughing and waiting. seemed when i had something fail they came out of the woodwork, now that i present beauty the few that saw the vision have been around while the trolls and mouth runners are no were to be found. kinda funny how that works. must be cause they are busy changing the water in their over stocked, underfiltered and oversized tanks.

again your wrong. no trolling here either. i am outright calling them out to run their mouths. salesman with his "xl" gatf in a tank to small for it and all. come speak how you are better for your gatf has such a roomy home and my vatf is in such cramped conditions and how i fail with it. i wait...

No hip bone showing, nice coloration and fat tail. I would say that one very sick ray you got there i say just let them hate on your fishs.

thanks, you forgot the super active and the lack of the forhead dent...the mark of a truely sick ray. with out that dent is it truely sick

that is why i got pissed off. i had a risk fail while they wont risk. yet at the same time i have these fish that are great just like all my other fish. funny thing was all them gatf were in prime health and eating pellets. they just snapped. one thing i will say is the vatf is very interested in the fronts. i hope the sell quick or i may have to lfs them. or the group may go through a size reduction...

So you planing to get a few more Vatf since there more mellow? I try to put the gatf with a giant red gourami, silver arowona the tiger rip up their fins. He's all by himself again. I did notice he act more confidence and less skittish when fishs around him. I will have to get a group of tin foil barbs for him to beat on and they will help his nerve.

i think for now i am just going to get more hystrix so i can breed them. that is one of my focus points right now. maybe down the line i will have a large group say 15 pcs of vatf bit for right now i am going to focus on my rays keeping the one vatf.
