Dont Really Know Where To Put This...

Not a problem... I hope you like it. I tend to understock my tanks, but I have less illness, and less maintenance, than those who overstock. I'd look into the type of plants I mentioned, because they're easy and pretty. The filter I have is the lowest AquaClear, and you'll notice in the photo that we've attached a sponge to the intake. I was worried he would get caught in what is actually a strong flow, for a 5 gallon. I do have a heater, as well. So, this sounds like a lot, but I really don't do much to this tank, considering it's a small tank.

Sorry, I was responding to the non-edited post... LOL... no, I haven't heard good things about the two together. It seems the male only wants the female around when he's actually READY to breed, and it's like a Lifetime movie the rest of the time. (In case you are male, and not familiar with the genre that is the Lifetime move, I'm saying he beats the crap out of her.) Breeders usually separate the two until breeding is imminent.

Betta splendens need a minimum of 10 gallons as a breeder tank and can only be housed together for short periods of time. They way they've been captively bred has made them more aggressive than their wild counter parts.

you cant put a male and female betta together right?

go to aquariacentral, they'll help you out ;)

you could also do a planted 5 gallon and try and see if shrimp would be good in there but i think they're difficult to keep. i dunno?
