Don't ship USPS!

My fish were sent express mail through usps. They should be swimming around in their new tank at this very moment. Instead they are in postal limbo! Next day arrival didn't mean next day in this case. The postal service seems to have misplaced my lot of fish. I've called and emailed them several times and each response is the same, ' We are still trying to locate your item.' They can make it in their package for two more days. But I paid for them to be here today. I hope they make it tomorrow. I'm sure that this happens with other shipping services. The postal service just seems to be totally lost when it comes to tracking down an item.:irked:
 
Its a fact of shipping fish. Hopefully you insured them for more than what the fish are worth.
 
i think your actually supposed to tell them your shipping a live animal, and they try to find you the best route.
but sometimes this happens, i heard of it too in ups
 
shipped out 9 cichlids to california and only one made it in 5 days time :nilly:lucky lil bugger

My fish made it! Six Festae Red Terrors shipped and six arrived. I got off work early to beat the mailman to the box but he had already come and gone. So my wife and I tracked him down a block away. The RTs are enjoying their new tank.

Hey you got your fish,congrats,alls well that ends well.usps is the cheapest way to ship,but thier tracking is the worst.And often,express and priority gets you the same delivery date so it pays to check.
 
Thats good news. I only had one problem with the USPS too. I bought some fish and it shipped express and the mailman goofed off. I had to show up at 5:30 pm right before they closed to get the box from them or else they would have not delievered till tomorrow. Guess what? Fish were dead. The water was all hot so they suffocated. I was so mad and the USPS would not even refund shipping for their goof off.


The box said perishable all over it and LIVE fish. The idiot decided to take them on a cruise his whole shift.
