Don't Touch the Power Strip

Oh trust me if there had been someone in the house I would have called their unsuspecting selves over and made them do it for me. And then after making sure they were okay I would have laughed lol. :devil: I laughed at myself too though so I don't know what that says about me. :screwy:
 
So far I have avoided shocking myself with the power cords from the tanks. But when I was in high school I had a dwarf rabbit (which I did not ask for) that liked to chew power cords. Grab the cord to the boom box one day and got knocked across the room. So gave the rabbit away (mom wouldn't let me make rabbit stew). When I do shock myself with the tanks the fish will not become stew- I love my fish too much (that and puffers are poisonous).
 
this is why keep my power strips mounted on the wall 4' off the ground and everything in GFI wall outlets to avoid this stuff ;)
 
I dropped my rigged up lighting hood in the 29 before. I reached in to pick it up, since it did fall in the water, instincts really to pick it up. ZAPPED, It was more of a shock than it hurting me. I then grabbed the cord and pick it up. :(
 
your most certainly not in the minority when it comes to getting shocked due to your aquariums.

you've now been shocked, next you need one of your fish to bite you and draw blood. your then a full-fledged aquarium keeper :headbang2 ;)
