WOW the first tank is insane love your setups keep up the good work. How many losses a day do you get in the overloaded tank? or weekly? monthly? yearly?

mr.reef24

Well, only three fish died so far in that tank which isn't bad on an import. Typicaly you get 10% loss or so in small schooling fish so 3 out of 1600-1800 really isn't bad. I am not going to keep it that way, it was more a reaction to an "emergency". I did move a cycled and established filter from my 75g discus tank and all the gravel from my Oscar tank to try and aid the qt tank in its cycle and minimize stress to them while they are so overcrowded. Time will tell how it goes.

You are too kind Rach! Good for you and nice work on the Tetras, don't feed em much and you should be ok till the numbers dwindle :)
That is exactly my plan. That and daily 50% wc's, lol

how in the name of god can u house soooooo many fish just like that

It only happened out of necessity. I wouldn't recommend it, lol. It is really amazing to see that many schooling fish together though.

A LFS had a display tank 6'+ with only neons and I loved the way they'd respond in a schoal to my every movement!
Very nice!

wow thats awesome!
do you intend to send them to poland?
were they sent to your home or to an lfs?

I do not intend on sending them to Poland, I bought them all so they wouldn't die. I have them at home, which is sort ofl ike an LFS with all the tanks I have going, LMAO

I will post up a sale thread when I have observed them a little more, most likely later today. So far, every species in the tank is eating well, even the otos! I have only lost 4 fish out of all the species so far, which is just amazing.

green neons and a hatchet shot:

WOW! In the 2nd set of pics, the 5th pic has a kinda sandy coloured fish that looks like a neon..lol

Neons look good with discus :) Unless the discus are adults..lol

yea, I havee alot of "contaminants" in this group. Some pygmy cories, killifish, pencil fish, julii cories, etc. Also some silver hatchets. When you get imported fish, there are always alot of surprises.
