Note that dewormer only works for intestinal parasites. There is no treatment for intramuscular parasites. ☹
Dosing levamisole

So I did the dose, and lurch seems perfectly fine. It will be 48 hours at 4 today, should I just leave the medication in for longer because he appears to be doing fine, or should I just do the water change?
According to select aquatics most species can tolerate dosing levels above the recommended dose. If there is no stress noted to the fish you could continue to monitor. I am speaking from ignorance though as I have not used levamisol before.
The meds just stun the adult worms and doesn’t affect the eggs so you’ll want to do a water change and clean the filter after treatment. Also, you’ll want to do a 2nd treatment in a few weeks
