why wash your hands

you turn on the tap wash your hands then ? touch the tap again and take all the germs back . i find it easier not to think about it it .like the fact no matter where you put your toothbrush in your house it will get fecal matter on it

I find it disgusting when people are in stalls and take a dump and then don't wash there hands. I always use a paper towel to open door knobs in public restrooms.

Yeah, well what about the study they did on toothbrushes...your own tooth brush has so many germs it's really gross!!!

All these germs dont really hurt you anyway. When a scientist says "Germs are everywhere", people fret and holler because they think every form of germ is a nasty one. Not so.

If we go to the toilet and forget to wash our hands after we've 'cleaned up', we are not going to catch something from our own ass.

When I went to Advanced training for the National Guard in Columbia, SC we were advised that city had the highest AIDS rate in the nation.

...I'd be worried if AIDS could be spread by double-dipping!

no you wont catch something from your own arse but to swallow a little e.coli to cause diarrhea. thats all. lol you can make yourself sick-Go ahead and eat a sandwich on top of that, or pick at your face. lol
Everyone has their own flora of germs-it actually keeps them healthy, but when you cross them with different strains from someone else that never washes their hands either (or doesnt bathe) thats where the problem lies.

as far as toothbrushes you should just replace it every other month--its no biggie.

as far as the faucets, i use papertowels to turn them on and off--thats how nursing care providers are taught. and when im at work i even use a papertowel to open the door (since most people wipe their arse, then open the door without bothering to wash up) and never use my hands to open bathroom doors in public . im not a germophobe, but i tell you-take one class in microbiology and you see the world in a different light! lol

im a fanatic because i work in an acute lock down psych ward, and alot of our pts have all types of hepatitis, AIDS, TB, scabies, lice and are drug users and come in because they are seeking medication and drugs. we have some really nasty homeless ppl who havent taken showers in months and stink to high heaven. god knows what a petri dish would hold for some of them. lol

its just good hygeine to wash your hands after you go to the bathroom and before you eat.. common sense that alot of ppl lack. hell my parents taught me to wash my hands after i went to the bathroom when i was really small, and to wash up before meals.
