Yeah, don't get me wrong.. I still hold true to my original post.. I think it'll look awesome.. And a great setup..

I had given it a little more thought, and then once I re-read all that had been added .. well not so likely now.. lol. I was going to suggest maybe fusing the bars to the actual frame.. weld it on kind'a... (then I found out it was 2nd floor office ... I believe?) are you able to purchase any other beams? .. cross beams? or long beams to reinforce ..?

As for the 'bowing' I stated I had something similar .. and use it for tools, so its not direct weight all around like a tank. Thats why mine bowed.. different weight all the time in different locations.

On that note.. I have mine in the garage, and don't have the weight you plan.. you are really gonna have to get something heavy duty for the legs.. I have mind sitting on the floor, and they have left marks..

just my 2cents...

But again :D
love the idea, looking forwards to seeing it all done up.

As for fusing the beems to the legs...they have hols ment for screws to attach the beem to the legs...I know thats not like welding but it will helps some I guess. I may put something under the legs still. I cant get any more beams.

The little snapper is doing good...I am giving it and anoter to a friend this weekend tho. I found the small one in my back yard and I have a 4" one I found as a babby at my office. Cool turtles but I am just going to do fish for now. I have a pnd at home with turtles.

Not to hijack this thread, but man, after reading all this I'm a bit worried. I've got my 40g breeder on a workbench with around 3-4" extra on every side of the frame (it's a framed tank). 2 layers of particle board and a layer of plywood on top of that.

Due to the floor sagging while setting it up, I've got a block of wood under the front right leg and a folded up towel under the back right leg. Because of the floor issue, the front right leg is around 1-2mm higher than the others. I believe I asked this before on this forum and was told not to worry about it because it's not a huge tweak.

SHOULD I be worried though? This thing only weighs a max 400 lbs, probably more in the 360 range.
