I would only keep one male in a 200 gallon. You really should have a bigger tank down the road for him. They can cover a tank that size in no time and get massive over their life. They are usually skittish for a while, around 12", then start coming around pretty good. They are pretty active fish, I would get 8 or so and grow them out and pick a keeper. As far as owner responsive, I would call it more owner aggressive.
