Those fish look good. Mine is just starting to get the blue/green fins and the blue on hid face.

Woah, they are very nice fish!! Can I ask what the water temperature is in the tank you keep those guys?

Mine are pretty kick back, this includes 2 males 8"-9", 2 females along with other male parachromis in the same tank.

How big of a tank?

Weird the timing of this thread I have had Dovii before but my recent one was a wimp for a while-Saturday though he attacked me! And he is only 6 inches I believe with Dovii it takes time for them to get comfortable but once they are they will show their true colors.

Temperature in their tank ranges from 78-82F.

At this time they're in a 240, but I've had them plus a breeding pair in a 125 for some time without problems.

Some will be incredibly shy at first but like you said once they are comfortable you better watch out. I'd love to have a breeding pair just to see the displays of aggression in their breeding behavior.
