......So what in the world do I do? The dovii is about five inches, the jaguar is probably 13 or so. I have other fish in the tank, as my jag was a peaceful one up until these two spawned.

Separate them and their eggs from the other tankmates if it is possible. Both parents will be highly aggressive when guarding fry. Once they breed once they will most likely continue to do so. Unless you want to deal with this again and again, you may want to remove one of them to stop breeding. What are the other tankmates?
They will continue to spawn later on right? I guess I will remove the dovii, I've had the jag forever. I have 9 inch clown loaches in there, and I don't want them to get hurt. They aren't being all that aggressive though.

other tankmates include a 6 inch female festae, 10 inch green terror male, a 6-7 inch male trimac [he's going to be up for sale soon!] and a wallace's pike cichlid [also selling him]. I guess I will be selling my dovii too. Damn. I gotta find one that's a male. jesus. I'll post pics soon so that I can get second opinions about their sexes.

After this spawn they will probably spawn again in a couple of months. If you remove the eggs the male could attack the female thinking that she ate the eggs. it may not turn out that way but I have seen it happen like that before.
What I think I will do is set up a 30 gallon long for the two and their eggs, then see if they hatch or not. If they do, I will probably sell them, but I really don't want to promote hybridization. I guess I'll be putting the dovii up for sale along with the other 2.
