Dovii and snails?

Will Dovii leave snails alone? I use Potassium in my water softener and it causes algae to grow like crazy in my tanks, I need something that will help with the algae but pleco's never last very long

So would snails become a snack? If so would it be harmful to the Dovii?

I have never had any luck with snails removing algae in any significant amount.
