What can I put in with my Dovii for tank maintenance. I placed my big pleco in with him nor a couple days and moved the pleco back out because Dexter was attacking the pleco. My pleco is about 12". With the pleco being that big, it was drawing drawing his attention. I'm thinking something smaller that could clean the tank and hide under wood or other decorations in the tank

TIA

How long has the Dovii been solo?
The Dovii may not want any other fish tankmates.
What type of maintenance are you referring about?

Algae eaters. Our house faces east/west so they're is always light, even with blackout drapery. We have Algae in the tank with him. All our other tanks have a pleco and they keep the tasks pretty clean.

Have you ever tried the magnet algae scraper?

You can try getting a population of trumpet snails or similar in there, otherwise most algae eaters will be targets. Magnet is definitely the most reliable option.

Bristlenose plecos stay smaller and like to hide
