In my experience you'd being seeing the signs by now if it were a male. If you look at my pics the female does have some spots but the male has far more prominent speckling all through the body at this size, particularly above the lateral line, where the female has almost none. Also the eye stripe stays more prominent on the females. All that combined with the clear fins and lack of blue color screams female to me.Hey guys, it’s still small. About 3 inches. Too small to show spots on unpaired fins. However in my latest pics I’m about to posts I can clearly see tiny spots on the upper and lower body. Just a few and really tiny. You have to zoom in. Hey Bud appreciate the reply. I will revert back to the thread in a months time. I still feel that it’s a male. Perhaps wishful thinking but nevertheless I’m sticking to my guess here. There is definitely blue in the fins as well, my substrate is bright so the fish is washed out quite a bit.
