dont risk putting aggressiv fish together especially the dovii..he will beas all..i know from experience lol..its not pretty.

thank you so much for the info, i really appreciate the input us fish peoples are a learning bunch always if not what a boring tank life we would have.
I won't beat a dead horse so I'll answer your original question. I'd get him a female friend but be careful when introducing her. Use a divider or egg crate to separate the two, make sure it is very secure! Let them get use to eachother and see if any spawning activity occurs. Best of luck.
