well i was under the impression that he had just added them to the tank and things were getting adjusted. If it is non stop then yes i would pull them.

Thanks guys, (and I'm a girl). I pulled the cons-I can't stand to see them get hurt. smitty03281 I put plastic balls, like ping pong balls in with my koi and they do play with them and that's what I meant by toys. I did the same with this guy and he hasn't played much, but does stop to take a nip once in a while. I'm trying "pretend fishing" today..I put something safe on the end of a string and play with the fish. I'll post pics later.

Try a ping pong ball or two. As he grows, a whiffle ball will do. Should keep him entertained for a bit.
