Well nothing compares to wild fish IMO. They always have the best body proportions, colors, and personalities. They just have that "wildness" to them. Not to mention, that they must go by darwins law. Survival of the fittest, tank bred, or pond bred fish, don't have to go through that. Usually they are over fed, kept in to small of a tank, and surrounded by new and stressful things that will and can stunt their growth, change their colors etc.
