2nd and 4th pic look like they could be males. How large are they?

The 2nd and 4th are the big ones in that video! this is what i cannot understand, they all look like that but during times of the day they all colour up? well most do, i think i may of found a male, i will post a pic up as soon as poss...

On the pics I was mainly basing it on the spots on the upper part of the body. That is usually a give away but not always as I've had females who show the spots like that as well. Are they old enough to vent?

At that size im surprised they havent spawned yet. You should have apair by now and possibly spawning behavior. Its possible thats theyre all females.

fishman..i just looked at your vid, WOW! at 1.55secs forgive me for being a novice is that a Jag or Dovii? i have heard there are all different strains of Dovii?

Is venting? when they go head to head and start pushing their gills out? if so,, yes is the answer!

The first pic is promising. 5" will be to small to vent IIRC.
