dovii or not dovii?

I was thinking that fish might had been fed some harmoned food to make it color up at such a small size.

you mean hormone food?

i know he lost that blue pretty quickly if that is an indication, the ones at the lfs did too, alot of the smaller ones there randomly died, at 2cm they had similar colour!?

Yeah "hormone" food.. I had some of those flakes long time ago. You could give baby cichlids this at 1" size and they would color up intensely. But it would fade once you stopped giving the food. I think it also made the fish sterile.

Hmmm , i thought the hormone food feeding and its bane only plagued Asian regions....for a quick buck......my LFS carried some stuff , that would help color up the African cichlids.....

could be jag x dovii i guess, defo has a more jag shape but dovii/grammode colouring.... wierd but cool little fish.

It looks like a 6 inch male dovii that got shrunk. Surprised how much color he has already!

Well he has grown to about 85mm from 70mm so about half inch in 5 weeks.
