Dovii owners......

My Dovii runs the tank thus far but pretty much all the damage has been done to the other Dovii in the tank(s). LOL What did your Dovii do?
Mine bumped into a piece of driftwood and sustained a nasty wound on his forehead. It's all better now but at the time it looked horrible.

Well i have 12 of them 1 is 3" and totally runs my 125 gal tank,he owns my 4 inch Texas,my 5 inch Dempsey and everything else,except a 2 inch Firemouth who when he flares his red gills my Dovii runs scared,i also have 11 one inch babies and the only damage they do is to thier freeze dried krill.But i cant wait till wich ever ones i keep grows into wild beasts!!
The male from my last pair after they spawned he started attacking the lid, filters the glass, and me. He ended up with a nice gash on his forehead once from losing to the filter. Then during feeding he would try to jump out of the water to bite me!! This Guy was fricken crazy and he was 9.5-10" I sold them cause I don't know how to put a straight jacket on a fish

lmao.No danger to my tank or equipment. But my 6-7 female killed a male dovii same size at least I think it was a male. Broke the jaw of a jag the same size and damn near skinned the jags rear half. Beat up a Texas bigger then it but the Texas wasn't that agressive to begin with. Beat up a nice pike cichlid not sure what type but at the time had an inch on her. And held it's own and didn't back down from a 10 inch Midas with a huge hump. She didn't beat him up though he had like 4-5 inches on her and was way thicker. I found all this out while trying to find suitable tankmates or atleast find a medium ground. I'm fairly new to the hobby less then a year in so I am learning. Funny thing is she doesn't mess with anyone smaller then her just bigger or equal size.
Oh and destroyed an Oscar. Took it's eyeball out but after two weeks of living together. That was kind of gross.
I am hoping to at least keep a pair,and maybe one more tankmate(leaning towards a Pike or a Buttakofori).
mine destroyed 2 300w jager and survived twice in a tank charged with 240volts, nearly killed me in the process (lucky i saw a glass bit from the broken heater laying around in the tank before i put my hand in for a water change)
