Dovii owners......

mine smashed into the glass and 3 days later after blood was gushing from his gills.... R.I.P. (must note despite on his death bed the crazy bastard would still bang glass)
IMO I wouldnt waste any money on any tankmates once u get a pair especially once u. Get fry. You'll be lucky to stick your hand in the tank then LOL.
My four inch male dovii is nearly biting every single scale off of the smaller male dovii, beats up a red devil and is fighting with a buttikoferi cichlid about his size for some reason the butti is winning he is smashing my dovii into the glass. The butti is actually the killer in my tank he is one tough SOB.
Right now the only other fish to survive her are two big plecos and a 4-5 inch rtm. The rtm catches beef from a little 3 inch dovii in the tank but not from big Bertha. No I don't name my fish but she deserves a name lol. The little 3 inch dovii is her buddy for now so I'm hoping it's a male. She tolerates him. I had another 2 inch dovii bought at the same time the 3 inch was bought. But for some reason I can't find it. No bones carcass no thing just gone that happened maybe Monday. I pretty much gave up on tankmates at the time. My list of fish was spread through early this year so it wasn't at the same time or at the same size when fiah would dissappear.
