My young male Dovii is around 5 or 6 inches now and I still dont see any teeth. At what age do Dovii start growing teeth ?

Hey Flexxx you know you could answer all your questions with just ONE thread. You have like 4 or 5 about the Dovii in a row just ask the questions you want answered in one thread. No big deal but it keeps the forum a little neater and not Threads Bonanza all over. Ya know

Yes they should be coming in now or maybe 6". They should already be present but if your Dovii is like my Female Managuense who like to bite rocks then you won't be seeing teeth for a while. She always breaks her teeth and I don't know why she does it.

their canines should already be present, but if not visible just take out the dovii and pull the lips down...you'd see it by then

HUH that is odd? Usually around 4 inch they get them. each fish is different. I know my male jag didn't get his first tooth till maybe 8" I believe.
After several generations down the "F" line (F0, F1, F2, F3 etc..), do these domesticated Dovii lose their massive teeth due to non-use? You know, like how Red Devils lose their large lips?
