could be hexamita if it looked like a zit, not eating would point that way too... i would dose with maracyn 2 asap but try to get aquanero here for some advice, good luck mate.

I would not recommend maracyn 2. Maracyn 2 is minocyclin, a tetracycline antibiotic. Generally used for gram negative bacterial infections. Hexamita is a parasite. Related to Giardia. I'm betting a parasite infection is what is being dealt with. Recommendations would be to do a good water change and vacuum the subtrate. Then treat the water with Epsom salt at 1tblsp per 10 gallons water. If the fish are eating I'd recommend soaking the food in a mix of garilc juice or smashed garlic. Epsom salt and metronidazole. Or API general cure. Let the food soak for 30 minutes. Then feed. You could also start dosing the tank with metronidazole as its a quality cure for ip's including hexamita. Be sure to follow water change/treatment plan and redose the med and epsom per needed til issue us gone.

I'd still like to know what the water conditions are.

I wouldn't start medicating. There watching fry just because they don't eat while there doing this does not mean there sick. The injury to me doesn't look real serious but I think your over reacting..

One of the things I hate about the mobile app. Not every post shows. Some sort of glitch.

But yes if they are guarding fry and they feel insecure they may go for extended periods of not eating. This to can be normal. Sorry Im not able to see any post from the Op about fry. Just your first and pictures.

Is this the 1st batch of fry they have raised to free swimmers? What caused the injury?

This is their fourth batch, and every single batch they ate very well. They just stop eating when the big male got hurt. And yes they raise them to free swimmers, every batch.

How's your big male getting on , did the treatment tank work out ok ?

Yeah it did, he looks like he's healing fine, but I think whatever that the female has the males getting, because he has a sore where his teeth are. When it rains, it pours!
