my 9" male dovii and 5" female jag paired and had fry. what do i do now??

Hi mate, you have a number of choices.

If you don't like hybrids, you can kill them all or something of the sorts.

If you're meh about hybrids, i.e. can't care less, then it's the same with any fry.

You can keep them for yourself and raise them.
Or you can sell them off.
Or you can use them as feeders.
Or you can do a combination of the above.

So yeah, it's up to you and what you want to do.

I personally would keep them, or well at least a few. Six, prolly, I'd separate and raise them, well, separately. The rest I'd let nature take its course and if they survive, I'd either keep them or pass them off.

But that's what I'd do. As you can see, not everyone shares the same sentiments. Either way there's no 'you must do this or that'. It all depends on what you want. Whether you want to keep some or sell them all off or use them as feeders or kill them all right now or whatever.

Just remember to label them properly if you ever do decide to distribute them. :)

Can we leave the bias comments out? It makes no difference to the op to know your hatred towards hybrids. Its doesn't help at all with what he is trying to ask. Im getting sick of seeing this.

To the op:

The above information is accurate on what to do with the fry. And i cannot emphasize enough that if you are to sell/give em away or distribute them in any matter wether it is to iniviuals or your local store, be absolutely sure you say they are hybrids.

Now if you question was what to do with the fry in the sense of how to raise them then if you are trying to save them you can remove them from mom and dad and put in a grow out tank when theyre about free swimming stage, feed them flake food ground finely, baby brine, or fry food available at most stores. Or option b you can let the parents raise them and remove them when they are big enough to sell/donate or get their own tank. Once you remove the fry the pair will start again in no time. Hope this helps.
