Male dovi with female red teror and their few fry ---- their second spawn. Was out of town a lot and spawn eventully wen't down to 5 , then 3, then 1, a single , largest of the sawn --- that is the one that was kept. RBP ,trust me, never got one fry, as they are toally disiterested and totally inept at catching anything beyond bite siz plus the severe whooping they would have received if they ever happned to manage to get one would have made it , not worth it. That is what I think , anyways.

Their 1st spawn, lots of offspring. Kept two ----largest male and what i figured to be a female amongst the larger offspring ---- but my almost 30 year old 180 gal. fiberglass tank sprung a leak and the two hybrids I kept died in a tote, (along with some other fish ) as the whole tote went bad when i went out of town .Video of their 1st batch, june, 2007:

Check me out at the thread i wrote, red terror/dovii hybrid.

Here's a link to the thread:

I really have my doubts that those are dovii X RT, as i have had 2 bachtes of them and none of the offspring have ever looked like these. The young juvies in this thread look look exactly like juvii doviis, though young Parachromis can all look very similar. The older one looks more like an RTM ---- it apears to lack the spot at the base of the pectoaral fins ---- a trait that is peculiar only to dovii and jag in the Parachromis genus.

So far all of mine have had more traits in common with RT, though traits from both parents are very evident. All of mine have had the spot at the base of the pectoral fins which they inherited, amongst other traits, from their dovii parent.
