I might be willing to pay the 100 but im going to try to get a better deal

the same place has juviniles for 5.99

It depends how many tanks do you have
If you have some other larger fish in the tank where you want to kip it then will need another
tank to grew juveniles up. It is fun to watch haw fish grew :).
It is also much cheaper and I think that it don't need much time to rich those 12''

If you want to introduce this fish right now to bigger ones then it's better to have larger one.

The whole point of this thread was abt the price

The 12' dovii that I want is just badd ***. The poor thing has been a thirty gallon for like a month now

The dovii will go in a 100g all by him self .

I just picked up a similar sized male with a 6" female for $70.00 so in my opinion that is a little much unless it is an extraordinary Dovii.

do what feels right to you man. if it is worth 100 bucks to you then who cares what other people paid for theirs. as long as it makes you happy to buy it and bring it home regardless of the $100 price tag then go for it.

It all depends on the quality, IMO. I would tend to think it is on the 'expensive' side, but if that is a show male (not just size, but appearance), then maybe not. Don't just get it because it is a large Dovii.

I bought the dominant breeding pair (the nicest ones too) from my LFS for $60 CAD. Male is about 8" or so, female an inch smaller. Definitely WAY smaller fish, but it was a pair, and they are easier to mix at that size.

Good luck whatever you decide, but if you are paying $100, just make sure it is a QUALITY SHOW MALE!! If he is tattered/scarred or just the slightest bit 'odd' looking, I wouldn't, not for that much, and probably not at all.

This dovii is very mean, not at all shy and looks very good quality and heathy. I will go there and find out more info on it and maybe get it for cheaper. If I get it tomorow I will post some pics.( I will get it or the rtc tomorow.or both)
