Dovii

Nice to see you still have him NWatson! Mine is starting to show some age now but still doing ok. Just ordered a couple of females to see if I can get them to breed so I can continue his bloodline. Take care

Man I wish my dovii would come out and be bold like this. Should I remove the decor so he can't hide?

Sorry, to busy to be on here a lot these days. They tend to be shy up to around 12-15". I would say he was completely out around 15". I would leave plenty of cover and hiding spots until he feels comfortable. It will help with stress.

what has his diet been for these years you've had him?

EDIT: I'm guessing you are a friend IRL since u were able to answer that and not the OP

He's at least 20" these days. I have feed him a variety of things over the years. Had him since he was a fry. I would have to look but I think 8 years or so. High quality pellets as the staple, mix it up here and there.

Does he favor any specific frozen foods? - clams, tilapia, silversides, squid, bloodworms, krill, shrimp, etc?

I have not feed him frozen stuff in a long time, he's not picky though. I feed him krill more than anything else. These days I stick to pellets mostly.

Mine is 13 and still shy... 2 more inches to go
