I bought the fish at Walmart; the label said, "Dragonfish"

Is a dragonfish a subspecies of the lung fish?

Don't know if this is the correct forum under which to post, but let me tell you a little about him-

This is not his picture, but this is what he looks like. He has a habit of being very visible for a few months, then hiding for a couple of months, after which he'll show up again. Last time, I was sure that he died (although there was no sign of him) then one day out of the blue, he just showed up, and we'll see him every day for a few months again.

Well, he's been missing for the past month again, I'm not sure if he's hiding or if he's dead :o) .

Anyone else have experiences with this type of fish?

But I'll take a guess and say it's probably a Violet (Dragon) Goby. They get about 2 ft., but I haven't seen one over 14ish inches. I thought they were a brackish water fish???

If it is a brackish fish, it was getting along pretty well in first my 55 gallon and then my 150 gallon tank-Yep, I looked it up, and it is a Goby- Probably not the correct forum, but it looks more like a lungfish than anything else..
