*DRAGON GOBY PHOTOS

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Apparently if they are raised on the smaller foods that they are supposed to eat, then they don't try to eat other fish. I have ghost shrimp with them from day one, and never even try to get them:D. The larger Dragons I've seen on u-tube vid's have eaten smaller fish, but those were on a gravel substrate where they can't really eat properly, (Dragons are 'sifters'.) So I guess if they have to learn to swallow a fish whole in order to survive because that's the only thing they are fed, then they adapt or die? They actually go out of their way to not eat the bumbles and shrimp:D.

Thanks fishmamma! And he probably could if he tried. The bumbles max size are 2", they seem to grow very slow. They all eat teh same stuff, mainly frozen brine shrimp, blood worms, black worms, won't eat flakes or any pellets. *** Wondering what happened to 'iPat', they said they would post some pix too ?

Mine has lived with bumblebees for several years and I have never seen the slightest of problems, even when they venture into his cave. He'll usually chase them out but if they don't leave he will, lol.
There were also ghost and cherry shrimp the first 1-2 years (believed to be dead) and he never bothered them either. Some got quite big. He is happy with a variety of frozen foods and spirulina flakes, the bumbles just eat the meaty stuff.
My dragon doesn't seem to appreciate larger pieces of even bloodworms. He'll spit them out and gather them up a few times before he eats it.

Very nice. I just Purchased two of them a few days ago. They were listed as Golden Dragons. I've never seen anything like them before and had to have them. lol.

PLEASE post some photos of them! Would love to see what you've got too! And I think their coloring has a bit to do with the color of the substrate too. Mine seem to love the darker, black sand. How about your Dragons?

hi new here and everything i got a question its about my new poor lil dragon fish his face is starting to look like a skeleton for some reason and is bloated and swimming funny i tried calling my local fish store to find out if it was a disease but no one has heard of it.

Not at all sure what to make of that~! You should Post a question on the 'brackish' thread. Be back in a minute, I'll look who the ppl are who helped with my dragon stuff, besides JK47...........

I don't know if either of these ppl are on right now, but you might try to pm them? : PufferPunk.....been here since 2007,.........and Laticauda.......been here since 2010. Both seem very smart about this kind of thing and dragons. If you can't pm for some reason, cause you're new, I'll contact them for you if you'd like?
