my goby is about 14 inches i hope he can grow to be as big as yours i heard the range up to 2 feet

Thats awesome man how long have you had him?

I had one for a couple years. The first year was in fresh and everyone kept telling me how they were brackish. So i slowly converted his tank over to brackish (SG 1.01). And he lived about 6 more months and then stopped eating and died. Mine was only around 12-13".

I've had him for like 2-2.5 years now, I think. I dealt with quite a few people saying that I was "torturing" him by keeping him in freshwater, and that I'd learn my lesson when he slowly starved to death or succumbed to disease . I've learned that some people are a little high and mighty on themselves when they think they have the only answer.

Considering I've got what I consider one of the largest dragon goby's in captivity, I think I might be doing something right, you know?

Yah, they're supposed to get 23-24". My guy is still putting on an inch at a time, so we'll see if he gets up to the 2 foot mark. He's still my longest fish, even though I have 9 gar .
