Duck Head Knifes

Looking for the care for these guys? I am thinking of getting a male and female and would like to know if i would stand a chance at breeding them and how hardy are they?

I was thinking they would be the same care as a BGK?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated?
 
Do you know someplace that's selling them?
 
Is that P. hasemani?


male and female are really easy to tell apart so make sure you get one of each if you are really trying to breed.

We have all the males in their own tanks. The females we can mix together and with other knives as they aren't nearly as aggressive.

They like to just sit vertical in our fake plants 100% of the time when the lights are on. Pretty boring but the male has a cool head.
 
Lol, it's got weird eyes, but other than that it's a grouse looking fish 8D. Sorry I don't have any advice, but I will be checking back on this thread to read up on what people who know what they are talking about say, 8D.

I was trying to find some stuff out for you, but there doesn't seem to be much information on these guys...especially breeding. Good Luck!
 
check riverwonders.com they have something similar. Not sure if they are for sale yet but they have them.
