Thanks Liz. The parakeet is another rescue. Some people bought him, kept himfor three months and then wanted to return him. When they were told we only take returns for 14 days they said they'ld just let it loose. So, another mouth to feed. Can't seem to help it. Last week got another senegal bichir from a customer after it ate all his guppies. His son got for him as a joke. Yesterday we were chasing a large frog around Home Depot. Caught it and took it back outside to the garden center. People were looking at me kind of strange walking through the store carrying a large frog but, oh well. No one else wanted to do it.

i quess being a manager in a pet store is very hard at times.. so many people in so many walks of life that are so $%%$#^&^&$ when it comes to animals .. how could you threaten that about a sweet little parakeet.. why would they ever want to give it up.. probably got a few seeds on the floor and oh my i have to clean the cage... gee whiz... i am always so relieved and thank ful there are people like you and i ... and so many others on MFK that accept the responcibility of ownership.. and if they cannot take care of them find the right person who will.. your a good kind man!
