You may also want to consider 1M : 3-5F ratio.....for any of those species, you're technically supposed to have at least 3 females for every male of each species/ssp. Bigger tank of course, but always add more females when males are fighting, IME

I had similar problems until I put the white plastic cave habitat my 30 gallon.
Mbuna and peacocks. Don't chase each other much around corners.
Good thoughtful rock work, done with keeping territories out of sight of each other.
